The Magic of Angles and Marketing
I recently saw this image on on Facebook, advertising interior design services. At first I thought, "oh that's great, they really improved the space!" Until I looked more closely...
...Same table (decluttered with dressed up chairs)
...same island (decluttered)
...same window sheers
...same dresser on left wall
...same art work (sitting on the bench in the before, hung on the wall in the after)
...different angle
...different lighting
This proves that a lot can be done very simply to spruce up your home and make it look good as new. Small every day things, like decluttering, upgrading light fixtures, finally hanging all that art work you've been collecting, among other things can have a huge impact.
This is also evidence that it's easy to "fake it." Hiring a designer is very different than hiring an organizer. When searching for an architect or designer, be sure they are going to provide you with the services you expect, and not just move spruce up your space with items you already have, unless that's what you want!
Unless this is a case of poor marketing. Is this the right set of images to showcase this company's work? Sure, it might be a great "after" but if it's not the greatest transformation, maybe it shoudn't be used as a marketing tool. Big impact is important. Show the best version of yourself, or your company!
